And The Winner Is
From Bodog September 12th, 2007
We’re pleased to announce that Fall From Grace has won the $10K Road Diaries prize with the best overall rating of 76%!
Now, we know there will be some concern that the band who won the $1M contract also won the Road Diaries contest. However, our position is that the band with the best Road Diaries is just that, and regardless of who took home the bigger prize, the winning band still, well, won.
So, congratulations to Fall From Grace on their win!
The contest is now officially closed. The final standings as of right now are:
- Ashmore 32%
- Big Bang Radio 34%
- Blaxmyth 40%
- BurnDown All-Stars 60%
- Fall From Grace 76%
- The Mood 69%
- Subversa 32%
- Fear Nuttin Band 71%
- Idle Red 34%
Battleboy over and out.
Why Newbodogtv.com?
From Bodog August 30th, 2007
Okay, we’re back! The Road Diaries briefly went down, but your ratings, comments, and votes have all been preserved and everything is fine now. Even so, we’re very sorry that it happened and hope you don’t hate us.
Here’s a note from Calvin with an explanation of just what the hell happened:
WHY THE NEWBODOGTV.COM?
We are currently experiencing difficulties with the Bodog
Entertainment DNS registration and I wanted to let you know that until the issue is resolved we are directing all customers to an alternate site with little or no interruption to Bodog services.
Bottom line: you can enjoy everything that Bodog Entertainment has to offer right now. Everything you see will be the same as what you are used to and we’ll resolve any minor glitches shortly.
The problem is the direct result of a dispute over the ownership of the Bodog domain name. We are fighting this dispute and are confident that we will win. In the meantime, other than the change in URL, it is business as usual.
I don’t want anything to interrupt your enjoyment of Bodog Entertainment so please visit the following sites and continue to play hard.

Idle Red Road Diaries
From Bodog August 22nd, 2007
Some of you are may be surprised to discover that we have added Idle Red’s road diaries. Well… so are we! Through unfortunate and mysterious circumstances the footage from Idle Red’s road diaries were mislabeled and we have only just discovered them. Getting their footage ready to post has been high-priority around here and we’ve released it as fast as we could. We’d like to apologize to Idle Red and Idle Red’s fans.
On the plus side, this shouldn’t affect Idle Red’s chances of winning the competition as the Road Diaries competition is based on ratings and not the quantity of votes! So, Idle Red fans, here’s your chance! Remember… Quality over quantity.
Ratings Fix
From Bodog August 14th, 2007
Some of you have probably noticed dramatic changes in the ratings standings over the last few minutes. Some of you have probably noticed several posts regarding our promise to fix the ratings. And some of you are probably wondering what the hell I’m talking about.
Here’s how it went down. Some fans (twelve in particular) have taken it upon themselves to screw with the post rating system in order to help/hinder specific bands. These same fans took hours and hours out of their lives to screw with us AND YOU - but you’ll be glad to know we can now reverse their treachery in under two minutes. Moral of the story… cheater cheater pumpkin eater. Take that!
Anyway, sorry-so-serious for those of you have been enjoying this content and competition and playing fairly. Because of these screwballs, the ratings have been drastically altered. We’re very sorry if this has ruined your favorite band’s lead.
And to you twelve douchebags: you may have rated 4000 times, but now your rating rights have been revoked along with the rights of all future douchebags who engage in such continued douchebaggery. Tough shit.
Behind the Scenes
From Bodog August 1st, 2007
This post is intended as a response to a handful of questions that have been directed towards the moderators. Okay, let’s open a whole can o’ worms!
Q: Why is [name of band here] featured in [name of other band’s] Road Diaries?
A: Yes, the ubiquitous presence of Fear Nuttin in everyone’s Road Diaries has been noted by the all-seeing eyes of the moderators! The explanation is fairly simple-each band was given a camera and instructed to produce the most entertaining online content/road diary. Given that there were ten bands-worth of talented musicians sharing the same living spaces, jam sessions were born out of the sheer talent and ingenuity of the people and the atmosphere. Now, it may seem a bit cheeky to film another band’s antics or jam sessions, but given the rules of the Road Diaries contest this is fair-game.
Q: Are we seeing everything, surely there is more footage that we’re not seeing! How does Bodog decide what goes up on Road Diaries and what doesn’t?
A: I cannot emphasize enough how much of a favor we are doing not posting everything that has been submitted. Despite the frenetic pace of life on the road and the booze-soaked debauchery the bands experienced, a lot of the footage submitted for Road Diaries was incomprehensible or for lack of better words totally-fucking-boring! Twenty-minutes of shaky, out-of-focus footage of shoelaces or entire sequences filmed in the dark without a night-cam would adequately summarize a large part of what the bands submitted. Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that some of the bands may have been a little rough with their cameras. Yes, The Mood, we know you took your camera in the dryer with you… okay, that shit was pretty funny! Anyhow, here’s how we’re trying to do it. We’re trying to find the most entertaining moments from the 80-odd hours of Road Diaries we received and create an adequate and impartial sample of what each band submitted… this includes the good and the bad. Therefore, in response to the occasional complaint that the bands didn’t have control over what goes up on the Road Diaries, that is only partially true; the bands were free to turn the cameras on and off as they wished.
Q: Oh dude, there was this really funny/cool thing that happened and we filmed it! Why isn’t it up here!?!
A: Okay, this hasn’t happened yet. We’d like to thank the bands for being really cool about the Road Diaries. It’s awesome to see you guys posting and putting things into context, sharing stories, and getting involved in the forums! It’s a really good vibe. Anyhow, if any of the band members are wondering why some things aren’t going up, the answer is almost always legal reasons or that we’re trying to avoid spoilers. So, for that we apologize! There’s not a lot we can do about it.
Anyhow, hopefully this answers most of the questions anyone has about the Road Diaries! We’re really glad to see people getting involved and there will be plenty of great stuff coming! If you have questions directed towards moderators feel free to post. We see everything… but not in a creepy way.
Battleboy out.
